We would like to take some time to tell you about our next Charity project that is currently underway. This time, the project is due to take place very locally at Southampton Children’s Hospital, Bursledon House.
Bursledon House is situated on the Southampton General Hospital site and provides support and care for children from the ages of 0-16 that have physical, psychological, educational and social needs. Bursledon House has a structured programme of care and treatment that takes place in a non-medical setting.
Bursledon House has a Garden room that is a place for older children in their teens to relax away from the younger children and be like any other teenager.
At present, the room is not in a very good condition. Due to the room not being insulated properly, there is damp on the walls, and the floor is rotting out. This problem will only get worse if not addressed.
We would like to address this problem and renovate this room into a new fully functional garden room. With a complete makeover, we hope to make a positive influence on all those that benefit from the Garden room.
If you would like to get involved at all with this project, please contact Rod Morton, firstname.lastname@example.org, it will not go unappreciated!
